Welcome! I’m Christy. Mother of 3 amazing daughters. Wife to an incredible husband. I am learning to enjoy this”season” of my life. It says in Ecclesiastes 3, “To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under heaven:…a time to plant, a time to pluck up that which is planted; a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; a time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, a time to speak. He hath make every thing beautiful in His time. And, also, that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labor, it is the gift of God.” This is my chronicle of all that I am learning to do as I live.
I grew up in a Christian home, every time the doors were open we were there. But, I didn’t know how to have an actual relationship with Jesus Christ. I was just following the Baptist rules. It was an empty and vain life that led me into a deep pit of sin. It took realization of God’s grace to bring me out of that. By his grace I am set free of that bondage of sin. I am also free of living those Baptist rules I once followed. I now know that I should live to please Jesus. Everything I do should be for Him and His glory.
Now that I am a mother, trying to homeschool, sew, garden, and LIVE, I am always trying out new things. I either am in the middle of a project, beginning a project, or just finishing one. I want to be that homesteader who cans the entire garden, raises their own meat, become self-sustaining in as many ways as possible. So, I am always learning as I live this life that God gave me, whether it be something practical or spiritual. I try to recount those lessons here. I hope you will join me in our many varied adventures!
